Gift for Teacher

A little can go a long way...I bought a simple clipboard at Walmart and black chalkboard paint, burlap garland and bow and there you have it!  Nice little gift for your friend/ teacher for the holidays.  My girls have several teachers for their preschool class and I thought this made the most sense and was cute!  Hope you like it!

A Dream Come True!

It has been one wonderful week since I opened up my new shop, Vintage Glam at the "THE DELICIOUS BARN" in Castle Rock, Colorado!  What a fine collection of creative women who have very unique styles and come together in one common space!  The Barn is extraordinary and I have to imagine that people come from all over when they hear about The Barn!  www.thebarncastlerock.com
If you are ever in the Denver area, please take the trip to Castle Rock to check out The Barn and allow yourself several hours to walk the shops!
Please take a minute to check out my pics from opening day!

Lipstick, keys and...

...a phone is all that you can fit in this little sliver metal clutch...with rhinestones!  I carried it on my wedding day and yes I am hanging onto it!  The little gold clutch in the background was my mother's.  I have fond memories of playing "dress up" when I was little and I think I have photos of me hanging onto this purse during those days.  This one is here to stay too...as my little girls play with it now....I hope they pass it on to their little girls someday! :-) hopefully!

Who loves a round box...

This is one of my favorite old hat boxes...with Marshall Fields & Co on the front of the box.  MF & C no longer exists so this one is all that more special to me!

Another view of THE FRENCH BEAUTY :-)

A French Beauty

Now this little find is truly a Paris Flea Market Find...truly from Paris.  I am not letting this one go!  This dates back to the early 1920's and the French Showgirl who wore this had a tiny head.  I can't fit this on my head if I tried...but the hand-beaded work, fur and rhinestones is to die for.  This little find cost me a small amount compared to what I think it is worth.

Spot light

When I was a little girl, I remember having the cutest lamps on the block...I also was probably more into the design thing than most of my friends...was always checking out different styles and one that I have never stopped loving was vintage lace lamp shades.  So girly and yes thats me!  Simply chic!  Old things like this never lose their flavor.  The lamp above is not my original lamp from growing up but one that I picked up from an estate sale and I have a pair of them!  I found the shades at a flea market and whulaaaa....a beautiful spot light!  My husband even switched out the old cords for "code friendly" electricity cords.  These lamps will be added to my shop's collection!

Touch of sparkle

When you have a drawer full of empty jewelry gift boxes...why not dress them up with ribbon and a touch of sparkle.  This is a gift itself and it is always in the presentation when giving to someone!
